OOC, Discussion, Recruitment, and Miscellaneous texts for Lunaris Civitas (full)

I have decided to decided to put this up in order to increase the likely hood of actually getting more than one player. This will be a skype game on Sundays time to be determined EST.The number of players that I would like is somewhere between 4 and 6 ideally.

IC chat will be done over voice chat OOC here and in the Skype chat box. Anyone who would do a writeup will have my thanks. Applicants need to send in a character sheet and backstory either here or in a PM. By now you are most likely wondering why there is latin giberish in the title well the story is set in and around a small city/very big town of that name details to come later. Please tell me if you are from the town or new.

All races are welcome even the ones that are not offical.Players of all experience levels are welcome. I reserve the right to veto anything.
Please do not apply if you can not come more than once.
Edit I am now asking for the character's over all goal.

I'm only got two weekly games... So I'm game for joining a third... Just can't meet up Friday or Saturday.

EDIT: And I'm thinking of apping a Unicorn that has a broken horn, yet that doesn't effect his magical skills one bit. And is also a cloudbender... If that idea is fine I'll finish up making that sheet and give you a link here.

That does sound vivable for me... (Assuming it's EST and even if not I don't think it'd be a big problem) I'll get to work making my character sheet then.

History

Lunaris Civitas was "founded" around 1300 years ago as a port town around a temple dedicated to Luna. Over the next three hundred years it grew into the second largest port and the fourth largest city in Equestria it did not keep this status for long. At the beginning of the first Nightmare Moon incident 1000 years ago nearly half of the population was killed under currently unkown circumstances by Nightmare Moon this event is believed to be the origin of the City's "cursed" reputation. Early in the next year a large mob attacked the town for quote " worshiping the usurper Nightmare Moon" this riot massacre, which was only stopped by Celestia herself, killed the vast majority of the survivors of the Nightmare Moon incident. Approximately two hundred years (800 years ago) later a small group of unknown metallic creatures attacked the city converted a third of the downtown area before being sealed away by local mages. Four hundred fifty six years ago an earthquake struck the city ,while earthquakes are not uncommon occurrences in the area this one is notable due to being the strongest quake on record (10 Magnitude and XI intensity) and for the subsequent tsunami destroying nearly 80% of the area. One hundred and thirty one years ago a change in the dragon migration routes resulted in a fourth of the city being burned causing about 200 million in damage a third of the total value of the city.In the past fifty years the city has entered a second golden age once again becoming the major western port and the center for trade with South Island,The Seal/Unseal Courts,the Xiang Mao and the Youkai. Various lesser plagues, famines, natural disasters, and assorted calamities have not been recorded here.

The plot is well I have not one not two not four as that would be to many and five is right out of the question but three big bads a nobody to nightmare, a nonhuman Nazi,and a minor Eldritch Abomination a jumbled connection of roleplaying and combat and everyone wait I can not tell you... yet the plot is in short a Kudzu Plot that even I will not understand until it is all over.

Nice Choice with the changeling.... Though I do hope we don't get to many more unicorns in the party.

I quite hope the party finds out your a changeling. Cause to Cloudy that's kinda cool.

I just noticed something... Make sure to put the non-flavor name for anything that you've added flavor to in ( ) so you can tell the DM what it normally is?

Also another good advice is that you can add flavor to anything and everything you can think up something for. That adds a lot to the character.

And I gotta ask why aren't you faking a cutie mark?

Ok... That's a weird idea, but I'm not going to complain, after all it's your character.
